Felix Valenzuela is an attorney at the Valenzuela Law Firm, which is based in El Paso, Texas. He has over a decade of experience practicing law and represents clients with cases involving criminal law, federal and white collar crimes, DUI and drug crimes, and sex offenses, to name a few.

Mr. Valenzuela studied at The University of Texas at El Paso and earned his bachelor’s degree in political science. He was passionate about pursuing his legal studies and attended Yale Law School, receiving his Juris Doctor in 2006. He was a William S. Beinecke Scholar and an American Bar Association’s Legal Opportunity Scholar, and also an editor at the Yale Journal of Law & the Humanities.
After law school, Mr. Valenzuela obtained his Master of Arts degree in political science from the University of Notre Dame, where he studied constitutional theory and law and became a Joseph L. Gaia Distinguished Fellow in Latino Studies. Additionally, post law school, he served as a summer law intern for a renowned judge at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.
Actively involved with major legal associations, Mr. Valenzuela is an executive board member of the Federal Bar Association’s El Paso Chapter and a board member of the El Paso Mexican American Bar Association, the El Paso Young Lawyers Association, and the State Bar of Texas’ Committee on Law-Focused Education. He is also a member of the George A. McAlmon American Inns of Court, the State Bar of Texas’ Texas Minority Attorney Program Committee and the State Bar of Texas’ Texas Minority Counsel Program Steering Committee.
Mr. Valenzuela teaches classes at The University of Texas at El Paso, including social media and law, legal reasoning, private law and many others. He has written extensively and published his articles in prominent journals, including the Journal of Social Philosophy and Policy. He also volunteers much of his time and skills by giving back to society through various organizations.
